The success of “Zirve” karate players continues.
The World Shotokan Karate Championship among juniors and youth was held in Srenjanin, Serbia on the 14-17th of November. Karate players of “Zirve” International Sports Clubs also took part in the competition. Under the guidance of an experienced specialist Rustam Akbarov, our representatives won one gold and one bronze medal.
Competing in the +40 kg weight category in the 10-11-year-old karate competition, Shamo Kamilov won a gold medal, beating all his rivals and rising to the highest step of the podium.
Another “Zirvechi” Rafael Yusubov won a bronze medal in the same weight category. At the same time, our other karate players – Ruslan Ismayilov in the weight category of 53 kg at the age of 12-13 and Ali Guluzadeh in the weight category of 67 kg at the age of 14-15 won bronze medals.
