National hero Fakhraddin Shahbazov commemorated

A commemorative event of the National Hero, former weightlifter Fakhraddin Shahbazov was held at the conference hall of the AAAF Park Residential Complex with the support of the Azerbaijan Civil War Veterans Public Union , AAAF Holding and Zirve lyceum. The ceremony was greeted with great interest and enthusiasm. The event was attended by senior officials and other representatives of the central and district departments of the Azerbaijan Civil War Veterans Public Union, Azad Musayev-chairman of Zangilan district department of the Azerbaijan Civil War Veterans Public Union, veterans from the regions of Azerbaijan- Zulfi Hasanaliyev and others, members of the martyrs’ families, representatives of various companies and organizations.

Firstly, the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan sounded. The ceremony launched with an audio video on Fakhraddin Shahbazov’s life.

Following these, the wife of the deceased-Nasiba Shahbazova spoke. She thanked the organizers for remembering him and organizing such events. Then, Fakhraddin, the grandson of the National Hero, said: “I am proud of being a grandson of Fakhraddin Shahbazov, I miss him” and won the applause of the audience.

Khazar Babayev, director of the “Zirve Lyceum”, Rizvan Rasulov, General Secretary of Azerbaijan Weightlifting Federation, Jabbar Jabbarov, chairman of the Azerbaijan Civil War Veterans Public Union, and Tarlan Mahmudov, head of the Absheron Division of the National Heroes Union, took floor as well.

They highlighted the importance of preserving the heritage of heroes like Fakhraddin Shahbazov.

It was stated that the National Hero was also a weightlifter and achieved numerous successes. Taking into account his activities as an athlete,” Zirve” International Sport Clubs and AAAF Holding, as well as Azerbaijan Weightlifting Federation organize national and international tournaments in memory of Shahbazov, and it has become a great tradition. The apartment was donated by AAAF Park to the family of our hero.
