The branches of “Zirve” International Sports Club won 14 medals in European Championship!

On 15-22 October, European Championship, among young weightlifters U-20 and U-23, was held in Durres, Albania. Nearly 400 athletes from 36 countries participated in the competition. Members of the “Zirve” International Sports Club’s foreign branches were also in the tournament.
13 athletes representing Bulgaria, Ukraine, Poland, Moldova and Georgia succeeded. “Zirve” athletes gained a total of 14 medals and demonstrated their strength at the club level. 4 of 14 medals were big, others were small. Our athletes got on the honorary chair for a total of 6 gold,6 silver and 2 bronze medals.
From “Jidachiv-Zirve”, Kiril Pirogov won 3 gold, Anna Panova-2 silver, and 1 bronze, Igor Obukhov- 1 bronze and Leonid Kubishkovski-1 silver medal.
Anastasia Gotfrid, from “Tbilisi-Zirve”, with 3 gold, Georgi Chkheidze with 3 silver medals, showed excellent performances in European Championship.
