Azerbaijan Championship started with women.

Azerbaijan Weightlifting Championship, among youth under 20-23, started in the competition hall of AAAF Park Residential Complex, in Khirdalan. More than 100 athletes representing sport communities from all cities and villages of the country  participate in the competition.
First, the women athletes got on the platform. Winners are determined by the Sinclair table. Sabina Azimova  was gold medalist with total 173 kg (77+96) result and 273.32  Sinclair points. Lale Rzazade was silver medalist with 112kg (52+60) result and 166.99 points and got on the second step of honorary chair and Valiyeva Gunel owned bronze medal with total 116 kg (53+63) result and 158.08 points.
The aim is to select the strong athletes, to teach and develop the sport of weightlifting in cities,  towns and villages, to strengthen friendship relations between the athletes and coaches, to increase and improve the athletes’ skill level   and to prepare for the following international competitions.
